Prior to adopting our first daughter, I
had the opportunity to design our
own adoption profile. Our adoption
agency was very excited about my work and the very first draft
was approved. A few weeks later, our profile was given to a wonderful
pregnant lady and the rest is history! Our daughter Sara was born
in August, 2006, about 6 weeks after the profile was approved
by
the agency. Because we chose Open Adoption, we have been in touch
with Sara's birthmother. When we asked why she chose us, she explained
that on the day that we were chosen, she had received a FedEx shipment
from the
adoption agency with about 10 different profiles in the package,
but she kept going back to our profile because
of the way we presented our story.
I also designed a second
profile for our next adoption, which of course features our first daughter in the pictures. We waited about 3 months
to be chosen (from the day the profiles were printed). Although we were happy to be chosen, unfortunately this time around it didn't work out. I will spare you the details but the birth mother requests just didn't sound very honest and we decided not to move forward with the adoption plan.
This was a very painful decision but we know it was the right choice for our
family. A few weeks later, things changed quickly for us as our profile got picked again! Long story short... in March of 2009 Liliana arrived!
We also chose Open Adoption and keep in touch with Liliana's birthmother.
I never had the chance to design our third profile,
because Julia arrived in August 2009 as a complete surprise to
everyone. We found
out that Julia was going to be born just a few minutes before she
arrived into this world! Because Julia is Sara's biological
sister, we didn't think twice
about
growing
our family. As a matter of fact, our plans were to start the adoption
process in the second half of 2010 for our third child, thus this
pleasant surprise was just a way to speed things up for us.
Now that our family is complete, I feel compelled to help other prospective parents to design their adoption profile. I would rather dedicate the time I have to helping others fulfill their adoption dream (but please remember to send me a picture of your baby when he or she comes home!).
I will create a memorable adoption profile for a very reasonable
fee because I have personally experienced how expensive
an adoption process can become. I will provide different budget
solutions and different design/printing styles -- there are many
different ways to design an adoption profile, and the prices vary
accordingly to number of pictures involved, number of pages, etc.
I am a committed professional who will not take on a job if I know I don't have the available time to finish it by the expected deadline. As a matter of fact, I have never missed a deadline in my entire career! If you need an adoption profile done overnight, I may not be the right professional for you.
